Privacy policy

In short

Employees mark "I voted" without an account and without giving their name. HR staff and our operators sign in with Google so that only they can manage a company's page. We keep as little as we can and delete it after the election.

Employees who open a company page

• No account and no name. We do not ask who you are.
• Cookies. While your mark is being recorded, your browser holds a short-lived cookie with that attempt's one-time id, so a retry is not counted twice; it is cleared when the attempt finishes. Once you are counted, your browser keeps a cookie that says only that this browser has been counted. It holds no identifier of you or of your mark.
• A bot check. Before a mark is counted, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the request comes from a browser and not from a script. Cloudflare processes technical data about the request to do so, under its own privacy policy.
• What we record. That a mark was made for the company, and when. We do not record your IP address, your browser's details or the link you used in our logs or statistics.
• What others see. The company's page shows how many people marked, out of the number of employees HR entered. It never shows who.

HR staff and operators who sign in with Google

Signing in is only for HR staff who manage a company's page and for our own operators. We use Google sign-in with the scopes openid, email and profile.

• What we access. Your Google account's email address, your name, your profile picture, Google's identifier for your account and, if you use Google Workspace, your organisation's domain. Nothing else: we do not access your mail, contacts, calendar, files or any other Google data.
• What we store. Your email address, your name, Google's identifier for your account and your Workspace domain. We do not store your profile picture.
• How we use it. To sign you in, to show who is signed in, to decide which company's page you may manage, to let you invite colleagues (an invitation is a one-time link that you copy and share yourself; we send no email), and to keep an audit record of changes made to a company's page.
• A session cookie. After you sign in, your browser keeps a signed session cookie so you stay signed in: up to 30 days for HR staff and up to 12 hours for operators.
• How we store it. In a database hosted by Cloudflare, with Amazon Web Services (Tel Aviv region) as our stand-by if Cloudflare fails, encrypted in transit and at rest, readable only by our service and our operators.
• Who sees it. The other administrators of your company's page see your name and email address in the team list. Our operators see your email address and Workspace domain when they review a company. Beyond that, no one: we do not sell Google user data, transfer it to third parties, or use it for advertising. The providers that host the service process it on our behalf.
• How long we keep it. Until 7 days after the election, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever is first. Then it is deleted, backups included. We keep only anonymous totals by hour.
• Your choices. You can ask us to show, correct or delete your data at support@ivoted.co.il. You can remove I Voted's access at any time in your Google account, under Security, "Your connections to third-party apps and services".

I Voted's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

What a company gives us

HR enters the company's name, its logo and its number of employees. These appear on the company's page. Our operators can take a company's page down if it is misused.

Where the service runs

I Voted runs on Cloudflare and Amazon Web Services. Amazon's part is in its Tel Aviv region. Cloudflare serves pages and runs the bot check from its worldwide network, so a request, and with it technical data such as an IP address, may be processed outside Israel.
